Patricia Jeanette Sharp, of Littleton, died April 25, 2008, after a brief illness. Born August 27, 1921 in New York City, the only child of Lucia Dimick Dean, Patricia grew up in Indianapolis, IN, and lived most of her adult life in North Webster and Warsaw, IN. In 1998, she moved to Littleton to be closer to her family. She graduated from Shortridge high School in Indianapolis, where she started the Equestrian Club. Following graduation, she lived for several years in New York and attended New York University. Upon returning to Indiana, Pat wrote a column for the Indianapolis Star, and hosted a radio program under the name Molly Starr, where she interviewed guest dignitaries and movie stars. Pat was an interior designer, and with her husband, was co-owner of The Gallery in Warsaw, IN for several years. In the early 1970's, she started her own business, Patricia Sharp Interiors. In 1979, she was named to serve on the business and commerce subcommittee of the Indiana Vocational Technical College Advisory Committee. Pat was the founding president of the Kosciusko Literacy Volunteers of America (KLVA), and served on the KLVA board from 1992 to 1997. She also served on the Lakeland Community Concert Association board and was active with the Education Council of the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce. Pat received the honor of Older Woman of the Year and the Indiana Governor's Voluntary Action Program Literacy Award. She was an avid reader and bridge player. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Eugene Sharp, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law Penny and Ed Stanley; daughter and son-in-law Jyl and Mike O'Neal; and two beloved grandsons, Kevin and Patrick, all of Littleton, CO. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and his wife, Patrick and Nancy Sharp, of Plymouth, MI, a niece and nephew, and five grand-nieces. Memorial Services will be held Friday, May 2, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 E. County Line Rd. (just to the west of Holly), in Centennial, Colorado with the Reverend Patti Anderson, officiating.
