Patricia Ann "Pat" Hale

Patricia Ann Hale "Pat", beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, in Littleton, Colorado, at the age of 82. Born on November 8, 1942, in Clarksville, Texas, Pat spent most of her life in Kilgore, Texas, before residing in Littleton for the past 15 years.

Pat was the cherished mother of two daughters, Cyndy Talley and Shari Johansson, and the proud grandmother of Tyler Talley, Grace Talley, Elias Johansson, and Alaina Johansson. She is also survived by her son-in-law, David Johansson, and her nieces and nephew: Russ Bates, Laura Bates, and LeAnne Priest. Pat was preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy Bates and Jeanne McClendon.

A lifelong educator, Pat began her career as an elementary school teacher and concluded it as a professor at Kilgore College, where she inspired students in reading and literacy. Her passion for learning was reflected in her love of books, which she shared by establishing book clubs for her friends and community.

Pat was a woman of many talents and interests. She found joy in crocheting, knitting, needlework, and cultivating beautiful flower gardens. She also loved traveling and exploring new places. Known for her quick wit and intelligence, Pat was treasured by her wide circle of friends for her wisdom and humor. Her furry companion, Cocoa, was adored by Pat and was always at her side.

The family will hold a celebration of Pat’s life at her daughter Shari’s residence at a future time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s memory can be made to the Brain Research Foundation at https://www.thebrf.org/donate/ , Loving Care Assisted Living- https://lovingcareals.com/contact-us , and Dignity Hospice of Colorado- https://www.dignityco.com/contact

Pat will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of kindness, intelligence, and creativity will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
