Patricia S. Busby

Patricia Sue Busby (Anderson) passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 at her home in Aurora, Colorado. She was born in Marshall, Michigan to Oscar and Rena Anderson on October 19, 1930. She attended Michigan State University where she studied English, was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority and met her husband, Howard R. Busby. They were married on May 5, 1951. While raising their family, she taught special needs children at Vanguard private school. As a couple, she and her husband traveled extensively throughout the world and also lived abroad (Chile and Jamaica). While spending most of her life on the east coast in Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland, in 2008 she moved to Colorado. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, her strong and vibrant personality was shared with her family and friends, whom she treasured. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Howard R. Busby and sister, Cindy Klaver. Survivors include her children Lorri (Jim) Reevie, Michael H. (Wendy) Busby, Susan Busby (Peter) Nassif, and John W. Busby; her grandchildren Brynn (Kevin) Thomas, Kirk (Jenny) Reevie, Greg (Lindsey) Reevie, Larissa Busby, Jason Busby, Caitlin Busby, Kerry Busby, C.J. Busby, and Michael Busby; her great grandchildren Kaden Reevie, Ashlynn Reevie, Jack Reevie, Reeve Thomas, and Dax Thomas; and her brother John O. (Pat) Anderson. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 10:30am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (One block west of Holly Street) in Centennial. Private burial services will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Children's Hospital of Colorado, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
