Patricia Rae (Knox) Bushaw was born August 13, 1929 to Mary Ann (Votava) and William C. Knox in Washington D.C. She entered eternal life at the age of 90.
She is preceded in death by her siblings; Jane Stainbrook, Jim Knox and Bill Knox.
She is survived by her husband, Dewey J. Bushaw, her children: Dewey P. Bushaw, Daria Fuksa, Patrice Winkelman and Mark Bushaw; nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Pat graduated Valedictorian in 1947 from Cathedral High School in Crookston, MN. She continued her schooling at the University of North Dakota and graduated in 1951 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
In 1952, she and Dewey married in Grand Forks, ND. Pat taught math at the Paris American High School in France while Dewey was stationed there in the Air Force. She also taught math and English in California and North Dakota.
Pat and Dewey retired in Houston, Texas in 1986 after Dewey's long career with Exxon. In 2008 they made the move to Denver to be closer to their two daughters.
She was a church organist most of her life and enjoyed playing bridge and worked daily crossword puzzles. All her grandchildren have fond memories of her reading with them, playing board games, working puzzles and singing crazy songs.
We will miss her loving nature and being a large presence in all our lives. She will now guide us from above.
Burial will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
