Patricia Courtney Canino

March 1, 1934 — December 15, 2010

Patricia was born in Denver, Colorado 76 years ago. She had twin sisters, Ruth and Rita, and a much loved brother, Mike. Patricia went to Cathedral High School where her Aunt Genevieve was the principal. She was married for 37 years and had four children, Clyde, Claudia, Vincent and Martin. She was the proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She took her role as mother and homemaker very seriously. At any given time Patricia could be found in the school cafeteria, the baseball field or in front of the stove making dinner. Education was of the utmost importance to her, and she always had time for homework! As she saw each of her children marry, she took on her position of grandmother with ease and enthusiasm. Words of wisdom were freely given and usually not ignored. To those that called her Manny, she represented a confidante and mentor. Patricia loved her dogs, her music and her books. She was a fierce competitor and a life-long baseball fan. However, her passion was traveling, and she never missed an opportunity to sail the seven seas. Her only regret was that she never went to China. The place she loved the most, though, was her house in Snowmass!! The green house was her sanctuary and her ""heaven-on-earth"". Patricia had many old school and great neighborhood friends. She really knew how to play a hand of bridge! We all love you, and we will miss you! Funeral Mass to be held Monday, December 20, 2010, 10:30 a.m., at All Souls Catholic Church, 4950 South Logan Street, in Englewood, Colorado. A Reception follows at the church. Memorials in Patricia's name are being suggested to Porter Hospice at the Johnson Center, 5020 East Arapahoe Road, Centennial, Colorado 80122.
