Patricia Angela Kennedy

Patricia Angela Kennedy of Littleton, Colorado died peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the age of 91. Pat was born October 9, 1925 and was raised in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of William and Verna Cook. After graduating from Littleton High School, Pat attended Loretto Heights College. After graduation, she worked for a period of time at the Denver Catholic Register. On February 16th, 1950, she married Herman T. Kennedy. Together they raised three children. Pat is survived by her daughter Jeanann (Rich) Lungerhausen, son Michael (Megan) Kennedy, 2 grandchildren: Ryan (Rachel) Lungerhausen, and Cari Lungerhausen (fiancé Eric Zarlengo), and 1 great grandson, John Lungerhausen. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, and son, John Kennedy. Her husband Herm passed away February 14, 2018 Pat devoted her life to raising her family. She was a long time member of St. Mary's Catholic parish in Littleton. She volunteered in both church and schools for many years, as well as Gallup School. She enjoyed, reading, crossword puzzles, golf, cooking, the Rockies and Broncos, entertaining, and her many close college friends. She loved the many dogs she adopted over the years. In their retirement, she and her husband traveled extensively around the world, including China, Europe, Mexico, Canada and the U.S. Pat was a woman ahead of her time. She was a strong, independent thinker, never afraid to question dogma or speak her mind. She will be missed always by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Denver Dumb Friends League, Lutheran Hospice, or a charity of your choice in Pat's memory.
