Patricia Ann Morton

Patricia Ann Morton, age 66, died at her home surrounded by her family on October 3, 2023. Pat received her undergraduate degree in Marketing and Political Science from the University of Iowa. She would later receive her MBA from the University of Colorado. Pat began her career in Chicago working for Union Carbide before meeting her future husband Tom Morton and moving to Colorado to start a new career and family. Pat and Tom were married on January 2, 1982. Pat spent much of her career working for IHS as an accountant and financial analyst.

Pat’s family was the center of her life. Together with her husband Tom they raised three wonderful children, Christopher, Maggie, and Scott. Pat was an avid sports fan and infused that love for competition and sport into the rest of her family. Whether it was her kid’s intramural sports, High School, college or professional sports, Pat was the first to suggest that they be there for the event. She often arranged for family vacations that coincided with the attendance at major sporting events as a part of the experience.

Pat is survived by her husband, Tom, their daughter Maggie, sons Christopher and Scott and five grandchildren, Camden, Chloe, Kinley, Penelope, and Otto. She is also survived by her two brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Pat loved animals and was well known by all the pets in her neighborhood whom she often stopped to pet and provide with treats while on her many walks with her dog Kodak. Any donations can be made to the Denver Dumb Friends League on behalf of Pat.
