Patricia Lee Pike (Patti) passed away in her Denver, Colorado home on November 18, 2019. Patti was born in Salem, Ohio to John H. and Mable C. Pike on May 3, 1937. She was a graduate of David Anderson High School in Lisbon, OH; The Ohio State University of Columbus, OH; and the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO; and was a teacher for 32 years. She taught in Columbus, OH; Houston, TX; and was a retired Littleton, CO school teacher. She taught Middle School Math, Science, and Social Studies.
She volunteered at the Molly Brown House, the Museum of Nature and Science. Patti was also a flight attendant on school holidays and visited many places in the world; she was a member of the Lady Bugs Red Hat Society; Preceptor Alpha Iota Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi; and attended a luncheon group of Retired Teachers. The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Mount Rosa Chapter was another important organization to Patti.
Patti will be missed by her companion, Bucky Basset, sister Sandra Fitzpatrick (Dave Avery), Centennial, CO; brothers Robert (Elaine) Pike of Galena, OH and Jack Pike I of Dana Point, CA. She also leaves three nieces: Deborah Paynter, Danielle Dickerson, and Jennifer Rudsenske; one nephew: John Fitzpatrick; and her nephew's widow: Mary Jane Pike. She was preceded in death by Jack Pike II-her nephew.
Graveside services will be held at Woodsdale Cemetery in Guilford, Ohio. There will also be a Memorial Service held Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the Horan and McConaty Funeral Home located at 5303 E County Line Road in Centennial, Colorado.
