Patricia Powers

Pat was a devoted wife to her husband Jim , and mother to her two children Jeff and Sharon.  She spent most of her life helping others as a registered nurse.  In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and puzzles.  She adored her cat Mitzie, who sat by her side all day until she passed peacefully in her sleep at home.

Pat was born to her parents, Karl and Leona Ehrhardt in Cherokee, Iowa and raised along with her sister July on the family farm in Aurelia, Iowa.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband Jim (James Ray Powers).  She is survived by her sister Judy Roskens and brother-in-law Tom Roskens, son Jeff (Jefferery Andrew) and his wife Jennifer (Jennifer Lynn Poulsen Powers) and their son Brad (Bradley Andrew Powers) , daughter Sharon (Sharon Powers Sullivan) and her husband Ernie (Ernest Sullivan) and his two children Dan (Daniel Sullivan) and his wife Alex (Alexa Niibeis Elliot) with great-granddaughter Taylor (Taylor Lee Sullivan), and Carrie (Carrie Sullivan Frey) and her husband Mike (Michael Phillip Frey) with great-grandchildren Sully (Sullivan Michael Frey) and Jessy (Jessica Dannelle Frey).

A viewing will be held at Horan & McConaty Funeral home (1901 S Colorado Blvd) Thursday, June 22nd at 11 am followed by an interment at Fairmount Cemetery at 1 pm where she will lie in peace next to Jim, her beloved husband of 42 years.

She will be deeply missed!
