Patricia Ruh

Patricia ""Pat"" Laverty Ruh, born June 18, 1926 in St. Paul, MN, passed away June 7, 2010. Survived by children, Kathleen (David), Richard (Wendy), Stephanie (Rick), Maureen (Tim), Mary (Bill) & Michael (Natascha); grandchildren, Anthony, Anne Claire, Kelsey, Devin & Karla Lily; siblings, Richard Laverty, Jerome Laverty & Rosalie Robinson. Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Richard Ruh. After raising her family, Pat earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Social Work where her focus turned to grief education and support. Though she was small in stature she was larger than life with social activism. She was active in League of Women Voters, Older Women's League and was a Co-Member of the Sisters of Loretto. Pat was intelligent, well-informed, and passionate about her family and politics. Pat's zeal for life, learning and humor will be missed by all. Services will be held Sat., Oct. 9, 7:30 PM, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., (at Parker Rd), Denver. Private burial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested in Pat's honor to a charity of your choice.
