Patricia ""Patsy"" Prey Tanner of Denver, CO, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.
Born May 29, 1925 in Denver, CO, she was the daughter of the late Duvall Prey and Virginia Barrett Prey.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ira E. ""Itch"" Tanner and son, David C. Foster. She is survived by her daughters, Vanny Mahoney (late Tim Mahoney) of Eden Prairie, MN, Brooke Parker (Brad Parker) of Denver, CO and Suie Tanner of Denver, CO, nine grandchildren and ten great granddaughters.
Patsy lived her life with a fantastic (and somewhat wry) sense of humor, which she thankfully passed on to so many family members. She was passionate about gardening, bridge, golf, tennis and travel. She was never too old to learn something new. She enjoyed a lively conversation about a good book or her favorite athletes and sports teams. She was the first in the family to grab the sports page in the morning and avidly followed the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Broncos. She was a fiercely loyal friend and was easily recognized in a crowd by her deep throaty voice and laughter. She truly loved a good party and was always the consummate hostess. We will miss her keen intelligence and sharp wit. Most of all we will miss her kindness.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Children's Hospital, the Denver Botanic Gardens or a hospice of your choice.
A private family service will be held in Steamboat Springs, CO.
Please leave condolences for her family below.
