Patricia L. Werhli

Patty was born August 1, 1943 in Buffalo, SD to Charles and Mildred McFarling. She grew up in Fort Pierre where she graduated in 1962. After high school she worked for Stanley County Title and then attended the National School of Business in Rapid City, SD. She was united in marriage to Marc Wernli on June 4, 1967, who she met while attending school in Rapid City, SD. She worked for the State of South Dakota both in Pierre and Rapid City. She was very involved in volunteer activities at South Suburban Christian Church, Salvation Army Food Bank in Englewood, CO, along with mission and church building activities on the Navajo Nation in Arizona and New Mexico. Patty is survived by her husband Marc of Denver; daughter Laura (Brian) Weiss; grandson Gabriel Weiss of Bayfield, CO; sisters Betty (Art) Boyle of Pierre, SD, Donna Thaden of Creston, IA and Margaret (Mike) Mikkelsen of Agar, SD; brothers James McFarling of Pierre, SD and Charles (Linda) McFarling, Jr. of Fort Pierre, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mildred McFarling, sister Shirley Swan and brother-in-law Marvin Swan. Memorials may be directed to South Suburban Christian Church or the Salvation Army.
