Patricia Joan Pickering

Patricia Joan Pickering, affectionately known as Gma, passed away at the age of 86 years old, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Madison, Wisconsin August 9, 1936, and gone February 10, 2023, Pat preceded in death by her husband Bruce, leaves behind four children Michael Pickering, Richard Pickering, D’Ann Keough and Amy Nichols, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. As the spouse of a 20-year Veteran of the United States Air Force, Pat moved the family household several times, putting down permanent roots in Colorado in 1974. With each move she created a welcoming and loving home. Pat worked with the Jefferson County Schools as a para-professional in the special needs classroom. After retiring from Jefferson County, Pat went back to her first love and volunteered in the emergency room at Littleton Adventist Hospital for close to 20 years, leaving the position only when COVID -19 forced her to.

Services to celebrate and honor her life will be held Friday, March 3, 2023, starting at 1:00 PM located at Horan & McConaty Centennial, 5303 E. County Line Rd, Centennial, CO 80122. Following the service, a celebration of her life and spirit will be held at Pinehurst Country Club, 6255 W Quincy Ave, Denver CO from 4-8pm. Per Gma’s explicit instructions, music, dancing, light bites, and a cash bar will be on the agenda.
