Patricia " Pat " Bann

Patricia (Pat) Anne Bann of Denver, Colorado, passed away on February 13th, 2023.

Born in Wamego, Kansas on February 23rd, 1935, Patricia was born to Peter Gerald and Agnes Rose Pauly, the oldest of eight children (William, Katie, Jim, Ron, John, Gerald and Jane).

After graduating from St. Mary’s high school (St. Mary’s, Kansas), she worked as a cook for the priests at St. Mary’s College, a Jesuit seminary in St. Mary’s.

It was there that she met Michael William Bann, a Jesuit novitiate at the time.  Shortly thereafter, Michael and Pat were married on August 19th, 1967 in St. Mary’s.  Michael and Pat moved to Denver and began their family, with children Michelle, Jim, Cathy, and Michael coming along in that order. After the passing of Michael’s mother Dorothy Mary, the family moved into Michael’s childhood home on Columbine street in Denver.

Pat loved taking walks, usually with kids in tow, and was a loving and very supportive mother and grandmother.

Pat’s devotion to the catholic faith was evident in her service to St. Vincent de Paul parish.  A parishioner for over 45 years,  Pat served as a Eucharistic minister, and was a member of the Martha’s, loving bowling nights with fellow Martha’s crew.

Pat is preceded in death by her brothers William (Bill) and Gerald (Jerry), and is survived by Michelle (and her son Nathan), Jim (married to Jodie, and their children Seamus, Gabriel, Jonah, Dominic, William and Lily, Cathy (married to Fidel, and their children – Katarina, Natalie, Patricia, and Michael), and Michael.
