Patrick Robert Anderson

""It's a small world and Pat was a huge man that touched many lives."" As a young boy Pat went to Saint Catherine Grade school In North Denver close to where he lived. He was a Boy Scout where he achieved the Rank of Eagle Scout. He was an avid swimmer and earned his Life Guard Certificate from The National Red Cross. He was honored by Governor John Love for being the first person in the State of Colorado to achieve a 100% on his final exam of the newly started ""Hunter Safety"" course, being instituted by the Division of Wildlife as a requirement to purchase a hunting license. He loved to camp, fish and hunt pheasant and rabbit. He graduated from Regis High School in 1972. During his summers, Pat worked for his dad, Bob Anderson, in his package delivery service. He also worked a couple of summers at Elitch Gardens. After graduation, Pat worked briefly at Montgomery Wards, and then full time for his Dad. He spent a couple of years as a pit crew member of the G&D Mini Stock Car racing team at Lakeside Park in his off time. During that time Pat also volunteered as Denver Police Reserve Officer, until the time he was admitted into the Police Academy, where he graduated, and then became a full time Police Officer. Patrick Anderson was hired with the DPD on 08/16/1979. Pat was assigned to Dist 2 from 01/01/1980 to 07/10/1988. The department created a new District which was District 5 and Pat served in District 5 from 01/01/1989 to 02/24/2007. He transferred to the Property Bureau on 02/25/2007. While assigned at District 5 Pat was a FTO Trainer from 08/01/2001 to 02/24/2007. Pat met his wife, Annmarie in 1981 at the Hilton Inn at Peoria and I-70. The day we met was the first time I saw snow in my life, and he was laughing at me for the way I reacted to it. Pat and Annmarie were married Nov. 18, 1995 in Denver, they have 2 daughters, Samantha and Jessica, and 2 grandbabies, Aiden (age 3) and Nakaya (age 2). Pat lived a fullfilled, content and extremely happy life with his family. He will be missed forever.
