It is with great sadness that the family of Patrick Daniel Buchanan announces his passing on February 17, 2018, after a 2+ year battle with sarcoma. Patrick was brave and relentless in his pursuit to beat this disease and he astonished everyone by his resolve, grit, and fight for life. His courage and determination will NEVER be forgotten. Patrick was born in Denver, Colorado on February 10, 1972. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Horace âBuckâ Buchanan. Patrick came into this world at a strapping 8lbs. 10ozs, and his arrival was just the beginning of the grand life he would live. Patrick began his education at St. Vincent de Paul School, he was a proud graduate of Regis Jesuit High School, and finished his education at the University of Colorado in Boulder. He pursued a career in the financial services industry where he served as a mentor to many and where he met his wife, Jackie. Patrick cherished his role of uncle before finally realizing his dream of being a father. The time he spent with his family was precious, but unfortunately, so brief. Patrick was known for his quick -witted sarcasm and sense of humor that would always make you laugh. He has been described by friends and colleagues as âa man for othersâ. He was a true sports fan as he considered March Madness his favorite âholidayâ. He was the #1 supporter of the Oklahoma Sooners, which was evident from his wardrobe. Patrick is survived by his wife, Jackie (Kiefer) Buchanan, son, Xavier, daughter, Alexis, and step- daughter, Ashley Dold. He is also survived by his most beloved mother, Clo Jean Buchanan and siblings, Carey Reilly (Michael), Michael Buchanan (Laurie), Kristen George( James), and Amy Buchanan. Cherished uncle to Matthew, Nathan and Lauren Reilly; Ryan and Hayley Buchanan; Zachary, Kathryn, Kourtney, Jacob and Joshua George; Caitlyn, Grace and Paddy Buchanan. Patrick was a genuine man who was always there to lend an ear and a helping hand. He was happy to give advice and was never hesitant to share his opinion. He was truly one of a kind and will be forever missed. In honor of Patrick, a Visitation will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 5:00PM - 7:00PM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home (1091 S.
