Patrick Heard Crowley, loving son, twin, brother, and friend, died Tuesday, March 27. He was 26. Patrick wore many hats in his life: a tireless student whose work came effortlessly, an entrepreneur like his father, a friend to everyone he met, and a Coloradan through and through. He attended Graland Country Day and Kent Denver where he forged lifelong friendships with his peers and teachers alike. When he attended the University of Colorado in Boulder his creativity flourished. Not content with just school work to occupy him, Patrick worked for years at the local Patagonia store and became the Production Designer for TEDx Boulder. Patrick started Crowley Creative, producing work for many companies in both Boulder and Denver. He graduated with Honors in 2014 with a Bachelorâs in Environmental Design and Architecture. In 2015 Patrick was diagnosed with leukemia. He faced the overwhelming odds resolutely and with a smile. Never one to complain, Patrick endured the worst the disease could bring, and stubbornly defied the odds in a way that surprised even the most jaded doctors. His successes became the communityâs as he took to visiting other patients to provide encouragement. He was a beacon of hope in an otherwise grim place, and the people who cared for him became some of his closest friends. Patrick passed away on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon. He was surrounded by his family, clergy, and the countless nurses, doctors, and staff who gave him the strength to fight fiercely until the last moment. He was predeceased by his father Peter Crowley and will be remembered forever by his mother Melissa, his twin sister Katie, his brother Matthew, and all his relatives and friends. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 10:00AM at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 1900 California St, Denver, CO 80202. Memorial donations can be made to Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado, or The Park People in the form of a tribute tree at Washington Park. Please share memories and condolences with the family below.
