He was courteous, polite, compassionate, and attentive to everyone equally from the local dry cleaning attendant to foreign dignitaries, politicians, and celebrities. Patrick's genuine interest in and compassion for everyone he met made him an amazing journalist. Patrick was articulate, objective and meticulous when it came to reporting and investigating a lead. Over his career, Patrick was never accused of liable, and never over the course of 30 years did he have to retract a story. His personal integrity and compassion motivated every thing he did in his life and in his career as a journalist. He donated his time and energy to numerous charities over the years which include: the Boys and Girls Club; the Visiting Nurses Association; the Multiple Sclerosis Society; the American Juvenile Diabetes Association; the Jerry Lewis Telethon; the Easter Seals; the Great Dane Rescue; the Toledo Symphony; the Children's Miracle Network; and many, many other worthwhile causes. The last endeavor Patrick embarked upon - Isagenix International, the world leader in nutritional cleansing - has and will positively impact more lives as well as eclipse anything he has done to date. As each of you know, Patrick was the most stubborn, loving, generous man you know. He was a devoted son, a great brother, a wonderful husband, a loving and kind father, an indulgent uncle, a great friend and truly a good man.
