Patrick Francis Johnson, 93, left us on Monday, March 14, 2022, three days before ST. Patrick's Day.
He was born on May 30, 1928 to Clarence Raymond Johnson and Margaret Ester Kelly in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
He is preceded in death by his brother Gerald W. Johnson and granddaughter Avary N. Bryant.
On March 24, 2022 we lost his last surviving brother Raymond M Johnson.
He has left behind the love of his life of 71 years Jane Cecilia Moore and eight children, Diane Fish, Karen Newgent (Bob), Mark Johnson (Barbara}, Michael Johnson (Shelley), Kevin Johnson, Kelly Able (Timothy), Patricia Scheurer (Paul), and Mary Rose. Twenty-four Grandchildren, Dori, Raymond, Brigette, Joey, Nicole, Jilleian, Jayci, Kyle, Samatha, Lee, Joshua, Allie, Elizabeth, Theresa, Monica, John, Chris, Margaret, Cecilia, Hailey, Whitney, Elise, Emily, and Ian. Twenty-nine Great Grandchildren, Ainsley, Mickayla, Billy, Patrick, Connor, Ryan, Reign, Bella, Josaiah, Trevor, Zovieya, Cooper, Marlow, Urban, Amelia, Bryan, Dannika, Priest, Sophia, Drake, Jaydan, Olivia, Lyric, Cadence, Zane, Reegan, Asya, Owen and Brynn. Three Great Great Grandchildren, JoVen, Vayla, and Layla.
Patrick received his Engineering Degree from CU and was employed by Public Service Company of Colorado (Xcel Energy) from 1947 and retired in September of 1986.
During his busy life dad was also a member of the Toastmasters International and received an award for outstanding Toastmaster in 1970, Irish Fellowship Club, Loyal Order Of Moose, Public Service Bowling Team, Baseball Coach and even in early years served early Mass on Sundays at Presentation of Our Lady Church.
Working for Public Service Company he received an award for his Substation Structure Design in 1970 and a Certificate of Appreciation for his assistance in teaching Drafting Technology at Adams County Vocational Education School in 1982.
Fly fishing, wood working, and remodeling, remodeling and remodeling the home he built were among his favorite things to keep him out of the bars, as mom would say.
Dad led a full good life, we miss him terribly.
