Patrick Arnold Lamoureux

Lamoureux, Patrick ""Pat"", 87, of Littleton, Colorado passed away at his home on December 13, 2013. Pat was born to Joseph ""Nap"" and Edna (Dagleish) Lamoureux in Westfield, Iowa on August 13, 1926. He grew up on a farm in Plymouth County, Iowa until the age of 7, when they moved to the Sioux City, Iowa area. Graduating from Leeds High School, he enlisted in the Navy and served from 1944-1946 as an aircrew ordnance man. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann (Olson) in August of 1951, residing in Sioux City, Iowa where they raised their six children and then moving to Colorado in 1977. Pat worked as a carpenter for the Western Weighing and Inspections Bureau, Sioux City Dressed Beef (later known as Flavorland Beef and Needham Packing), both in Sioux City, Iowa and Commerce City, Colorado. Both as a Yard Forman, finally as a Security Guard from Information Handling Services (I.H.S.) until his retirement. Pat loved bowling, golfing, woodworking, watching the Rockies and Broncos, giving hugs, but spending time with family and friends gave him the most joy. Pat is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann; children, Mike (Arlene) of Englewood, Colorado, Pam (Jim) Kobbe of Castle Rock, Colorado, Marc of St. Mary's Glacier, Colorado, Paul (Brenda) of Lakewood, Colorado, Penny (Jamie) Allen of Argyle, Wisconsin and Matt (Rachel) of Denver, Colorado; 20 Grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marguerite Vondrak of Sioux City, Iowa, Janice Vondrak of Petaluma, California, Beverly Bytnar of Columbia, South Carolina and Luene Peterson of LaMars, Iowa and many wonderful nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; Sister Donna Rae; brothers, Royal, Wayne and Richard and several nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 5:00-7:00 PM at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood. A Rosary will immediately follow the Visitation starting at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood. The Interment will immediately follow the Funeral Service at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado.
