Patrick Chandler Zimmermann

Patrick Chandler Zimmermann, 16, of Parker, Colorado went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 24, 2016. Patrick died as a result of complications of Niemann-Pick Type C (NPC) disease, a rare genetic disorder. He was born February 12, 2000 in Denver, the son of Steven and Cindy Zimmermann. Patrick lived in Longmont, Colorado for five years before moving to Parker where he attended Legend High School. Patrick loved music and sports. He played Unified basketball and lacrosse. Patrick worked with other young people to rescue horses from slaughter through Drifter's Hearts of Hope (DHOH.org). He attended Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church (PEPC) and he will be remembered for his strong faith in God, his loving eyes, a kind heart, and his sense of humor. Patrick is survived by his parents, Steven and Cindy; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many caring friends. Patrick also leaves behind many wonderful teachers and caregivers who provided the love and support that enhanced his quality of life. All of these special people, too numerous to mention, provided Patrick with love and dignity in his life and also in his death. With Patrick's passing, we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, especially his winning smile, he will remain forever in our hearts. We look forward to the day we will be together in heaven.
