Paul T. Cochlan

Paul T. Cochlan passed away peacefully at home with his wife, Nancy by his side on Friday, August 31, 2018. Paul was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI, spent his summers at his grandparent's farm in Melita, Manitoba, Canada and served his country in the United States Air Force. Paul and Nancy met at the local ice-skating rink in Grand Rapids and were married at the age of 18 and went on a beautiful 63-year journey together.

Paul was a true-blue University of Michigan football fan, loved the Montreal Canadians hockey team, the colorful Colorado & Canadian Rockies, but most of all he loved his family.

Paul is survived by his wife Nancy (Maurer) Cochlan, son Steven Cochlan, daughter Kelli (Greg) Sperling, his grandchildren, Collin & Nicholas Cochlan and Sean & Ashley Sperling, along with numerous Canadian cousins and many Michigan family and friends.

A service will be held on September 20, 2018 at 11 am at St. Joseph Episcopal Church, 11202 W Jewell Ave, Lakewood, CO. A memorial service will be held in Ann Arbor, MI on October 27, 2018 from 1-4 pm for family and friends at the BRAG Building, 179 Little Lake Drive, Ann Arbor, MI. We all know that Paul loved a good family and friends get together and please bring along your fondest memories and stories.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and calls. Please, in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
