Paul Frederick Glasgow was born January 1, 1927 in Dawson, Yukon Territory, Canada. He was raised for four years with his younger brothers, William (Bill) and James (Jim) in Chicken, Alaska. The brothers were then sent to Fairfield, Iowa, and were raised by his loving grandparents, George & Mary Glasgow. Upon graduation from Fairfield High School, he enlisted at age 17 in the Unites States Navy. After induction and basic training, he was assigned to Underwater Demolition Training (UDT-""Frogmen"") in Florida. Awaiting deployment to the ""Invasion of Japan"" in 1945, his UTD service was completed due to the dropping of the atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Given the option, Paul chose to return to Fairfield to attend Parsons College, where he met his future bride, Beverly Watts. Not only did Paul receive his BA degree in three years, he also continued to serve in the Iowa National Guard, played college football and worked nearly full time. Paul and Bev married June 29, 1947 at Fairfield Presbyterian Church. Soon after they moved to Chicago for six months, on to Lubbock, Texas for two years (where their firstborn, Paul Jr. was born), then settled in Westminster, Colorado in 1951. They soon had three more children (Tim, Leanne & Mark) working hard to raise their family and contribute to their growing community. Paul ran a successful insurance agency, ""Insurance, Inc."" until his retirement. In addition, he put himself through law school, graduating with honors from the University of Denver School of Law in 1966. Paul served on many boards and in many capacities throughout his years in Westminster. He served on Westminster City Council, was a city ""Justice of the Peace"", was active in Rotary, the Masonic Lodge, the Westminster & Metro-North Chambers' of Commerce and many other organizations. He was a director for Citizen's Bank, the Adams County Pension Board, as well as active involvement in the Hyland Hills Recreation District and Men's Club. Paul & Bev have been members of the Westminster Presbyterian Church since 1954, where Paul served as both Elder & Deacon and on many committees throughout the years. He was proud to have given much time and energy to the Hyland West Senior Apartment development through WPC. Paul spent his retirement years enjoying his family, church, traveling, golf, and enjoying many Broncos' and Rockies' games. But most especially he enjoyed watching the milestones his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren made each year. He was certainly a proud ""Papa""! Paul is survived by his wife of 69 years, Bev; son Paul, Jr.; son Tim (Wanda Colburn) and children Tyler Glasgow (Sarah) and Kaleigh Glasgow; daughter Leanne Glasgow (Phil Woodend) and children - Mason Smith (Melissa) and their children Abigail, Amanda, Bailey, JC and Ella - Khara Noffsinger (David) and their son James - Erin Seaton - Christopher Woodend; son Mark (Lori) and daughters Melissa and Shannon Glasgow. He is also survived by his brother William (Bill) and family, and his brother James (Jim) and wife Gretchen and family. Paul and Beverly enjoyed the love of many nieces, nephews, and their families on both the Glasgow and Watts sides of the family tree.
