Jene Paul Harper Jr. ""Paul"", 79, of Centennial, Colorado, passed away January 25, 2016. Paul was born April 18, 1936 to parents Jene and Jean Harper in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, brother Ronald Harper and sister Debra Zanker. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Julie Anne Harper, sons Christopher Paul Harper and Anthony Jene (Pamela) Harper, granddaughter Erika Danielle Harper, stepmother, June Harper, sister Teresa (Don) Paolino, sister-in-laws Barbara Lee (Talmadge ""Pete"") Bullock, Paula Lou (Samuel) Salter, Patricia Harper and brother-in-law Bob Zanker. Paul attended Orme High School in Mayer, Arizona and was a member of the Vaqueros de Farmacia Alumni Association. He graduated from Colorado State University, earning a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business. Paul was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Upon graduation he worked for Franklin Supply Company for many years before working as a Manufacturer's Representative for several businesses. Paul loved horseback riding, jeep excursions, camping, skiing, river rafting, wine tasting, traveling and cruising the Baltic Sea, Panama Canal, Alaska and France. He was an avid reader and life-long Broncos fan. Paul was a wonderful man who loved his family and was a loyal friend to many. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held Sunday, January 31, 2016, 2:00 PM, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado, 80122. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Paul's name may be made to the Nature Conservancy. Please leave memories of Paul and condolences for his family in the guestbook below.
