Paul E. Johnson Jr. passed away on Sunday, May 7th 2017 at the age of 84. Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to the late Paul Sr. and Anne (Kosgriff) Johnson, Paul attended Shillington High School in Shillington, Pennsylvania and played for the varsity football team there. He later went on to study at Lehigh University, served 4 years in the United States Air Force, and eventually graduated with a Masters degree from The University of Penn's Wharton School of Business. In his early career, Paul worked for his family's car dealership, formerly known as Berks County Motors. He was eventually hired by The Ford Motor Company, which took him, his wife and kids to Mission Viejo, California. He continued to stick with Ford and led the company for over 20 years until subsequently retiring from his post as General Field Manager of Accounting Services. Throughout life, Paul Johnson was a sports enthusiast and avid golfer. He could be seen playing golf at San Juan Capistrano Hills, where he sat as the club's president for some time. After moving to Aurora, Colorado later in life, he continued to walk the fairways as a member of Heritage Eagle Bend. There he served as Vice President of the Traditions Board for six years straight. Not only was Paul Johnson a wonderful, hard-working gentleman, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Whether traveling the world with his wife or hosting a dinner party at home, Paul enjoyed entertaining and spending time with family more than anything else in life. Today he is survived by his wife Mary Lou (formerly Lutz), his two daughters: Jennifer, wife of John Hellrung, and Stacey, wife of Peter Horrigan. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Kirk, Justin, and Brittany. A memorial service and celebration of Paul's life will be held Monday, May 15, 11am at Heritage at Eagle Bend Club House, 23155 East Heritage Pkway in Aurora.
