Paul D. Motzkus, DDS, age 81, passed away peacefully October 18, 2019 at home with his family at his side. He was born November 10, 1937 in Russell County, Ks to Lois and Carl Motzkus. He was married to Bonnie Motzkus for 58 years.
Paul served in the Air Force and was stationed in Panama. He was a dentist for 39 years. He loved to play golf, ski, fish and hunt. He worked with the handicap program at Winter Park to guide blind skiers for many years. He served on many committees and boards. He was the president of SERTOMA and Senior Golfers Association.
He will be sadly missed by his children and grandchildren: Betsy (Ray) Colten, Hannah Hardy, Megan (Chris) Isabel, Josephine, Samuel Abeyta, Paula (Jim) Grace, Luke, Adam, Mary Jane Archibald, Jimmy (Rachel) Carl, and Makayla Motzkus.
Survived by his sisters: Linda (Mike) Foley, Carolyn Motzkus
Service will be held at Brentwood Methodist Church 1899 S. Irving Street, Denver, Colorado 80219, 303-936-3447, on October 25, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow upstairs in church. Parking available in the back of the church
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to National Sports Center for the Disabled at nscd.org. When donating, please indicate the donation is in memory of Paul Motzkus so the donation will go to the Winter Park Ski program. This is a program he loved dearly.
A private burial will be at Fort Logan at a later date.
