Paul Casey Orona

Paul Orona was an amazing husband and father that never judged. He was understanding, forgiving and gave everyone a chance. Words will never express how much Paul was loved and how much he will be missed by everyone that he touched in his lifetime. It was always Paul's dream to be a professional singer, but God had other plans for him. After being drafted into the United States Army, just prior to going on tour in Mexico with a Mariachi band, Paul's most recognized accomplishments begin. Paul began his 23 yearlong journey in the military serving 16 years as a Clinical Specialist and finishing out with 7 years as a Medical Specialist. He achieved the highest level in the Military---Master sergeant---without a 4-year college degree. While in the Army he received many medals: Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars, Combat Medical Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal, 2 O/S Bars, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm (unit) Meritorious Service Medal, and Army Service Ribbon. He is survived by his wife, AnnaMarie, his children: Frank, Cathy, Antonio, Lisa, Robert, Jolene, Joe, his grandchildren: Briana, Chloe, DJ, Maia, Emily and a host of family and friends. He will be sadly missed, but greatly remembered. A visitation will be held from 1-4PM, Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave, Aurora. A committal service will be held at 1:15PM on Friday, January 22, 2010 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Pavillion ""C"". A memorial service will follow at 3PM in the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel.
