Paul W. Redinger, 75, of Denver, Colorado passed away on April 30, 2021. He was born to Henry Clyde Redinger and Ruby Dougan Redinger on July 10, 1945 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Following grade school and high school, Paul graduated college with a degree in Political Science. He joined the United States Army and served in Vietnam as a combat veteran and paratrooper. After Vietnam, he served in the Colorado National Guard for 27 years as a Special Forces Green Beret- retiring with the rank of First Sergeant. Paul continued to work for the US Postal Service until his retirement.
After retirement, Paul enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, building his cabin in the mountains of Colorado, and working in his workshop. He was a wonderful friend and neighbor who was greatly admired and loved. He will be sorely missed.
Paul is survived by his wife, Dr. Barbara Phelps Rainwater Redinger; Children, Dr. Phillip Redinger (Katie), Rev. Dr. Heidi Redinger Johnson (Aaron), Dr. James Rainwater (Normandie), and Robyn Rainwater Trasen (David); Grandchildren, Asher, Albian, Rebekah, Jacob, Corrine, Violet, and Oliver; and Sister, Elaine Petersen of NE. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Clyde Redinger and Ruby Dougan Redinger.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 15th at 1:00 pm at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel located at 1091 South Colorado Blvd. Denver, CO 80246.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Paul’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
