Paul G. Reznicek was born July 22, 1920 in Irving, Kansas and departed May 22, 2012 surrounded by family. He is survived by children Linda (Joe) Klein, Stan (Cindy) Reznicek, Sharon Lamb, Paula (Bill) Knox, Denise Reznicek; grandchildren Anne, Jared, Catherine, John, Ryan, Shawn, Rachael, and Dylan. Paul is preceded in death his by wife, Cecilia, of 59 years and son, David. Paul was the last survivor of 12 children and their spouses. He was the son of Thomas Reznicek and Antonie Pallas-Reznicek. Paul served in the Army Air Core and entered service September 3, 1942 in Fort Leavenworth Kansas as an aircraft machinist. He was discharged as a technical sergeant 3rd repair squadron on February 7, 1946 at Fort Logan, Colorado. Paul received his professional engineering license and graduated from the University of Denver. He worked at Cessna and Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas until relocating to Colorado, where he was a professional engineer in advanced design at Martin Marietta for 30 years. Paul thoroughly enjoyed his life and spending time with his family and friends. His many interests included gardening, bridge and square-dancing. He enjoyed his time outdoors and had a fascination with weather and nature. A Visitation will be Monday, May 28, 2012 from 3:00-4:00pm with Recitation of the Rosary at 4:00pm, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (one block west of South Holly Street) in Centennial. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 6853 South Prince Street in Littleton. Interment will follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery - Pavilion 'A' 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard in Denver. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's name to Alzheimer's Association, 455 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203; or to the American Heart Association, 1280 South Parker Road, Denver, Colorado 80231.
