Paul Ruzicka

November 16, 1931 — May 28, 2012

Paul Ruzicka went home to heaven on Monday, May 28th with his loving wife Pauline Ruzicka and his children Paula and Tim Gilbert and Dwane and Delores Ruzicka by his side. Paul Ruzicka was born November 16, 1931 to Charley and Frances Ruzicka (Hruska) in Pleasant Hope, Missouri. He married Pauline Newkirk on May 2, 1960 in Enid, Oklahoma while he was stationed at Vance Air Force Base. Paul served in the Air Force for 20 years being stationed across the world including San Antonio, Texas; Reykjavik, Iceland; Enid, Oklahoma; and Aurora, Colorado. In the service he developed the love for cooking and had the privilege of cooking for Dwight D. Eisenhower. While finishing the Service, he began doing what he truly loved; working in the horticultural industry until he retired. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his beautiful flower gardens. He had an intense love for music and passed that gift on to his children. He played the piano beautifully without ever having read a note of music. He was a most supportive Father having never missed a recital, concert or game for his kids. He was occasionally known to tell a story or two along the way. Paul was the last of his generation. He was preceded in death by his parents and Sister Helen Kroutil, Sister Anna Kroutil, Brother Charlie Ruzicka, Sister Cellia Francka, Brother George Ruzicka, Sister Clara Otradavec, Brother Tony Ruzicka, Brother Alfons Ruzicka, Sister Lillie Grider, and Brother Joe Ruzicka.
