Paula Ronan

Paula Ronan, 65, of Altoona, Pennsylvania, passed away in her home in Aurora, Colorado on August 4th, 2022. She is survived by her daughters, Kirstin Abrams (37) and Taryn Schott (25), her younger brother Jody Ronan (61) and a collection of “adopted” kids who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother Leona Mary Carrig and her father Joseph James Ronan as well as an older half-brother James Marshal Gibson.

A consummate educator, Paula spent the majority of her career working for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, first teaching in the prison system and later in Curriculum Development. Despite being a deeply private person, Paula had a heart big enough to love the world and cared deeply for the people around her.

Family will not be holding a public memorial, but in lieu of flowers memorial contributions could be made to Aurora Warms the Night ( https://www.aurorawarmsthenight.org/ ).
