Pauline Anne Dole began her journey with us on December 19th, 1928. She was born with an unflinching sense of fairness and during her high school career she changed her name from âPaulineâ to âPauleneâ to better reflect the union of her parents, Paul and Irene that was shown in her. She chose to leave our world to go Home to God on Good Friday, April 19th 2019. She leaves behind 90 years of amazing memories for her Three Sons, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, as well as God children, cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
Paulene gave love unconditionally and often. She had a driving passion for life that would fuel her multiple loves that kept her young. She loved classical music, and it was music that eventually brought her back to God. Perhaps nowhere else did Polly's loves come together to form an unstoppable force as they did in the political arena. Her energy and drive for social justice and equality formed the engine that would allow Polly to develop into a local, statewide and national Democratic figure. She loved any expression of art in any form and books of any kind. Our basement attests to this. No matter what her role was, Pauline, Paulene, Mom, Polly, Aunt Polly, grandma, always followed her own path and knew how to live and laugh, play many instruments and sing, and always have one bite of your dessert, or one inch of your wine.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
