Pauline Grace Pyle (Polly) was born June 11, 1923 in York, Pennsylvania. After graduating from William Penn Senior High School in York, she took advanced classes in business and bookkeeping and worked for her grandfatherâs candy factory, H. F. Regenthal and Son, until she married C. Richard Pyle (Dick) on February 28, 1948. Polly spent the early years of their marriage as a homemaker, mother, and assisting Dick in his career in sales. She readily volunteered at church and later at her daughtersâ schools, even managing the hot lunch program before moving from Pennsylvania to Minnesota in 1969. She volunteered again at their schools in Minnesota until the family moved to Westminster, Colorado in 1974. Polly served as office manager for Vinyl Sash, Inc., the window company they founded, operated, and then closed in 2008. She was always an avid card player and enjoyed games of Pinochle, Hearts, Uno, and Rum. She participated in the nightly card games with fellow residents at Wheatridge Manor, her home since 2016. Polly was a positive thinker long before that became a popular mindset and encouraged her daughters, their husbands, and her grandsons to be strong in their faith and follow Godâs leading. She is survived by family members who will miss her: daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Gary Schwartz; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Mark von Soosten; grandson and wife, Richard and Jennifer Schwartz; grandson, Paul von Soosten; and great-grandchildren, Calvin, Emma, and Eldon Schwartz. Memorial Service will be Monday, September 25, 2017, 10:30am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2100 Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood. Committal Service to follow, 2pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area ""A"". Please share your memories of Pauline and condolences with her family by signing the guestbook below.
