Pearl Ann Carlin (nee Kilgore) was born March 31, 1926 and died peacefully September 18, 2021, age 95. She was born in Peoria, Arizona during the depression. Her family finally settled in Los Angeles. She loved growing up there and even worked in the aircraft industry during WWII. She was proud that she was a “Rosie the Riveter”.
She married Bernard “Bud” Carlin in 1947. They started a family and ended up in Garden Grove, California where she lived until she retired in 1989, after losing her husband in 1987. She moved to Golden, Colorado, where her sons had moved. She was there until her death.
Pearl enjoyed many things; the color pink, flowers, Broadway shows, live theater, traveling, baseball, dancing and anything with coconut but what she loved most was her family. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She is survived by her sons, Michael and Mark and her daughters, Patricia and Sharon, eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
There will be a family gather for her Saturday, March 5, at 951 Fulton Street, Denver, CO. Come and share memories with us.
