Pedro Antonio Saenz July 3, 1954 – December 19, died at his home on Monday, December 19, 2022 from pancreatic cancer.
He was born in Austin, TX. After graduating from Southwest Texas University (Texas State) in San Marcos, Texas, he moved to Aurora, CO to serve in the U.S. Air Force. As a computer software engineer, he worked at the Air Force Computer Systems Development Office, Hughes, IBM and Raytheon until his retirement in 2019. Pedro (Pete) was a member of That Man is You men’s group, a member of the Bible Studies group at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. He also worked in the sound booth and served as a lector. Pete also served as the president of the Nunez Foundation. Survivors include Nancy A. Saenz (wife), Edelmira H. Saenz (mother), Alejandra Saenz (sister), Enrique J. Saenz (brother), Maria Elena Saenz (sister) and her spouse Rocky Farias, Lilian G. Zamarripa (niece) Guillermo A. Zamarripa (nephew), Marisol A. Farias (niece), Valerie Murphy (step-daughter) and her spouse Ed, Sarah Thieroff (step-daughter) and her spouse Alex, and Michael Monahan (step-son) and his step-grandchildren: Liam Murphy, Autumn Thieroff and Chelsea Monahan.
Pedro was preceded in death by former wife, Andrea R. Saenz in 2003, father, Enrique L. Saenz in 2002 and paternal first cousins Andres S. Lopez (Andy) in 1984 and Miguel S. Lopez (Tony) in 2020.
