Peggy Ann Badillo, 56, passed away suddenly on June 30th at Saint Joseph Hospital with her brother Joe at her side.
Born on December 1st, 1963 in Denver, Peggy was the only daughter of Raul and Irma Badillo.
Peggy was nothing less than a true survivor. Concentrating on her family business she became the manager of the parts department. Peggy was joyful and enthusiastic about everything she put her mind on, always looking for the silver lining in life. Even in the tough times, she found a way to be cheerful. Taking full control of her new life she quickly became loved by all who were lucky enough to cross her path. She cherished the time she spent traveling with her mother and father and both brothers. She loved camping, gardening and all forms of art. She always stayed close to family. She had a beautiful loving soul. Her family loved her dearly. She soon added a new family member to her life, Daisy her new baby Pug. Daisy became as close to Peggy as any child would be to their mother, they were inseparable. Daisy filled the space and made Peggy whole and provided the strength she needed for 14 years until Daisy passed in early May of this year.
After Peggy's father passed in 2011, she decided to let her pursuits go and selflessly look after her mother, as family was her rock. Unfortunately, she was stricken by the same fate as her father and became ill a few years after her father's passing. She was a true free spirit and loved the arts and discovered she had a special artistic talent designing jewelry, drawing and painting. During her later years living with her mother and Daisy she began to follow her love for the arts. Creating beautiful one of a kind pieces of jewelry and paintings. She even discovered she carried the same mechanical ability as her father, making artistic lamps and working with special tools to create her one of a kind artistic pieces.
She left behind her mother Irma Badillo and her brother Joseph Leuis Badillo, wife Shannon, daughter Cathleen, brother Paul Badillo, wife Sandra, son Christopher, daughter Sara and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A friend, a sister, a companion, her loss will be felt by many. She will forever be in our hearts and there will never be a day that goes by we don't miss that funny, loving happy personality. At Peggy's request is that she and Daisy are to be placed together at Horan &McConaty Funeral Homes and for her and her best friend Daisy's ashes to be placed alongside her father.
