Peggy Lou Cusack

November 4, 1925 — March 14, 2008

On Friday, March 14, 2008, our beloved mother Peggy passed away. It was approximately 8PM in the evening. She died from complications to a respiratory disease she had for many years. She was resting comfortably at the time. Her daughter Cathy was at her bedside. Peggy Lou Cusack, originally Peggy Lou Medlin, was born on November 4th, 1925, in Kirksville, MO. Her childhood was split between Omaha and Kirksville, but she graduated from Omaha South High School in 1943. Peggy was salutatorian of her class. Peggy met and married Paul Cusack in 1948, also from Omaha and North Bend, NE. They had many places they called home, including Lincoln, Sioux City, Palatine, and of course Aurora, CO, where they remained for 37 years. Paul preceded Peggy in death in October of 2006 Peggy is survived by four children, Chris Cusack, Cathy Cusack, Melissa Anacker, and Dana Cusack. Her sister, Donna Mollner, in Omaha. Five grandchildren, Sean Cusack, Andrew Cusack, Megan Anacker, Nicholas Anacker, Brian Cusack, and one great granddaughter, Addalyn Cusack. Peggy had several passions in life, but her two main ones were the love and passion she had for her family. We were all beneficiaries of that. Her second passion was golf! She started playing in the 70's, and was still playing near the end. A memorial golf scholarship fund is being established in her name. Donations may be sent to Melissa Anacker. She will be terribly missed, but fondly loved and remembered. May you rest in peace, and make every putt you see. A Celebration of Life will take place Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. at S. Parker Rd., Aurora, CO.
