Penelope K. Collord of Denver, Colorado passed away peacefully on January 6th, 2025.
Penelope (Penny) was born to Lucy and Woody in Kansas City, Missouri on June 18th, 1947. She had two children, Mark and Tracy, with her first husband, Joseph, whom she met in High School.
She received her Bachelors degree from Metropolitan State College in Denver, with a degree in travel and tourism.
When Penny walked into a room, it lit up! She was so beautiful and had a charismatic sense of humor, often “boasting” about how everyone thought she was Roy’s daughter, and that she’d been married five times, but twice to the same man…Roy….who was the love of her life.
Penny loved to entertain, throw great parties, decorate beautifully, shop, go to the mountains, and travel around the world. Everyone was welcome, she had a warm and inviting smile and made life fun!
Her primary career path was a flight attendant. She was able to travel the world and went on many cruises, often sitting at the Captains table with Roy by her side. Penny loved her children, grandchildren, and animals with all her heart. Her kitties, Buddy and Beauty, were her fur babies that brought her immense joy, especially in her later years.
She is survived by her husband, Roy, sisters: Patty and Sandy, her children and their spouses: Mark (Erin) and Tracy (Mike), stepchildren: Melissa (Rick) and Brad (Becky), her grandchildren: Ben, Alexander, Evelyn, Brendan, Bradley, Jessica, and Spencer, and two great grandchildren: Barrett and Weston, along with several nephews and nieces and lifelong friends.
Penny will be dearly missed and she will be forever in our hearts and with us always!
A celebration of her life will be held in Denver in the summer of 2025.
In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made in Pennys honor to Animal Rescue of the Rockies
