Persis Overna Morrison May 23, 1919 â June 18, 2015 Persis Overna Hulebak Morrison was born to Paul and Olivia Hulebak in Kenyon, Minnesota. She was the eldest of 6 siblings, 4 girls and 2 boys, all of whom have preceded her in death. She married Robert W. Morrison on Sept 1, 1946. They raised 5 children; Mark and Greg born in Mankato, MN; Deanne and Merry born in Cheyenne, WY; and Carolyn born in Denver, CO. Robert preceded her in death, Feb 13, 1995 while living in Milwaukee, WI. A loving wife and mother, Persis cherished her family and extended family. She worked as an inspector of plane parts during WWII and then in a Chiropractic office in Minneapolis. Many years later she started selling Avon and quickly excelled at it. Her customers and friends all loved her, looking forward to the next visit. She was a wonderful cook, seamstress, and gardener. Baking was a special love and she was known as Grandma Cookie to some of her grandchildren. An avid reader she loved learning about the universe and alien life. She and her husband Bob were able to travel all over before he passed. She was a widow for 20 years. Persis moved back to Denver in 1997-2006 living in an apartment close to Deanne and family. From 2006 to 2011 she moved to Madison, WI and lived with Carolyn and family. Her last 3 ½ years she came back to Denver, moving in with Deanne and Perry. She was under Hospice care for the last 16 months. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her 5 children: Mark (Peggy) Morrison, Greg (Mari) Morrison, Deanne (Perry) Martin, Merry Lehner, Carolyn (Jason) Morrison Phillips. As well as her 9 Grandchildren: Joel, Jay, Emily, Lindsey, Erika, Sarah, Claire, Lily and Ben, and 5 Great Grandsons: Miles, Reid, Jack, Caleb, and Logan.
