Pete Scott Thomas MacGregor

It is with great sorrow that we announce the loss of our dear husband, son, father, brother, best friend and dear heart Peter MacGregor, 51, of Lakewood CO on November 3rd, 2009. Pete will be dearly missed and never forgotten by his loving wife Lisa and his children, Michael, Dustin, Holly, Megan, and Kelsey. Pete is survived by his parents Tom and Lois MacGregor and sisters Cari, Bonni, Julie and Sara who will deeply miss his brotherly love and guidance. Our family was blessed with Pete's arrival in March of 1958 in Detroit Michigan. He attended college in Colorado where he received his BS degree in Marketing from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Pete fell in love with Colorado and chose to become a permanent resident. Pete held a variety of positions prior to his current occupation as owner and agent of his own Allstate Insurance Agency in Lakewood, CO. Pete treasured the time he spent in the mountains of CO- hiking, skiing, camping and exploring with his many friends and family members from across the country. Pete loved to travel. He took numerous trips- honeymooning in Tuscany; fishing in Alaska; cruising around Europe; skiing Whistler in Canada; bargaining in Tunis, Africa; relaxing in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, and touring throughout the United States. Pete always hoped to one day visit his ancestral lands of Scotland; he was deeply proud of his Scottish heritage. Pete met his love and soul mate Lisa, at an Allstate Christmas party in 1995 and they were married in Italy. Like their love, Lisa's grief over losing Pete is without measure. Lisa described Pete as 'her heartbeat, her sunshine'. The name Peter means 'the rock', his parents chose well. Pete has been Lisa's rock since they met. Everyone Pete met was touched by his love of adventure and life. He was truly a positive individual who lived life to the fullest and loved his family and friends. Pete never complained about anything, he is an inspiration to our family. In Lisa's words, 'with Pete a house becomes a home, a meal becomes a feast and a day becomes a treasure'.
