Peter J. Leveton

Peter J. Leveton was born May 5, 1937 and passed away October 2, 2018 in Lakewood, Colorado

Pete, of Lakewood, CO was born in McMinnville, OR to Joe Yehudi Leveton and Genevieve Nancy (Rall) Leveton and grew up in Portland, OR. He graduated from Sellwood Grade School and Cleveland High School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant at Willamette University, Salem, OR. He was active in campus affairs as a class officer, President of the Willamette Chapter of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, and recipient of the 1959 Wall Street Journal award. After graduation, he moved to New York City to work on Wall Street and earn a Master of Business Administration degree from the New York University Graduate School of Business.

Pete served as an office in the U.S. Air Force 1961-1964, and as a business executive for more than 40 years. Pete and his family moved to Littleton, CO in 1971. He was a member of Denver Rotary and a Kent Denver Country Day School Trustee.

Pete was a Chief Executive Officer of publicly-and privately-owned companies in healthcare, medical device manufacturing, and chemical manufacturing/mining.

He was an avid skier and golfer for much of his life and pursued both activities in Colorado and throughout the west.

Pete and his beloved wife, Mary Ann, a highly accomplished pianist and vocalist, were married in 1986 in Jasper, Alberta, Canada. Pete adored Mary Ann and often described her as the love of his life and a terrific partner for their entire marriage. Pete lost his beloved Mary Ann on April 5th of this year.

He is survived by his daughters, Denise of Nampa, ID and Deborah Leveton, San Diego, CA, stepdaughter Kay Lynn Roberson, Golden, CO, stepson Bradley Ballou, Union Star, MO, three step grand daughters and one step grandson.
