Peter H. Rinehart

Peter Rinehart, age 76, passed away in his home in Centennial, Colorado on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

As a young man, while attending college to earn his Bachelor’s degree in business, he worked as a lifeguard on Venice Beach, California. He was an avid surfer and loved to ski and play volleyball.

He went to work in politics and was very involved in environmental issues in California. Later, he moved to Colorado where he met his wife Elaine who he was married to for 42 years. For 17 years, Peter and Elaine supported a homeless ministry where they provided clothing, food, and Christian guidance.

He is survived by his wife Elaine, his daughter Emily, his son Jon, and his sister Robin.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
