Peter Smit

PETE SMIT- On Tuesday, January 29, 2019, Pete Smit, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 75.

Pete was born on March 10, 1943 in Garderen, Netherlands and lived there until he was 7 years old. His family immigrated to the United States, and lived in Utah until Pete was 17 years old. He moved to Denver, Colorado where he met his wife Marie. When he was 23, he was drafted into the army where he served for 3 years in Stuttgart, Germany. After his military stint, he returned to Colorado where he started his banking career of 49 years.

Pete is survived by his wife, Marie, daughter, Lisa, son, Mike, sisters Ina and Joy, brother Cal, grandchildren and extended family.

Services are to be held on Tuesday, February, 5th, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Southeast Christian Church, 9650 Jordan Road, Parker, CO. A reception will follow.

A private interment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
