Philip Allen Bierschenk, age 87, died in Stratford, NJ on February 17, 2020. The cause was Myelodysplastic Syndrome.
Born October 6, 1932 in Queens NY, he lived in Texas, New York, California, Colorado, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Philip served in the Air Force from 1949 to 1953 and then re-enlisted in 1956 to pursue a career as a Pilot. He served until December 1965. After that, he flew for United Airlines until he retired as a Captain in 1988.
He was a member of the Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in both California and Colorado.
Survivors include his children, Debi Hill and her husband Rick Hill, Nancy Casey, Philip Bierschenk and his wife Debbie Bierschenk, Karen Radlinger and her husband Bill Radlinger; along with 16 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Philip was preceded in death by Theresa Bierschenk, his wife.
Services will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Monday, March 2 at Noon.
