Philip Armedis Nevels

Reverend Philip Armedis Nevels, 85 of Chandler, AZ formerly of Denver, passed away November 11, 2012. He was born in Denver on September 26, 1927, graduated from Littleton High School, the University of Colorado and Nashotah House Theological Seminary and was ordained to the priesthood in 1958. He is a WWII veteran and was active with the American Legion Post 1 in Denver where he served as Chaplain and Post Commander. He is survived by his wife Mary Nevels, daughter Ann (Kenny) Johnson, granddaughter Lillian Johnson, nieces Shawna Crocker, Beverly Holmes, Laurie Crocker and nephew Tom Cassedy. He is predeceased by his sister Patricia Cassedy and niece Diana Crocker. Rosary Monday 7 PM, Funeral Mass Tuesday 11 AM, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 South Colorado Boulevard, Interment Tuesday 2:30 PM, Fort Logan National Cemetery 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard Staging Area B.
