Philip G. Poisson

Philip Gregory Poisson passed away December 31, 2013 after complications from a prolonged illness. He was 54. Phil was born in Denver on June 17, 1959. He was the son of the late Brigid Barry and the late Robert Poisson. He was the sixth of ten children. He was raised in Denver and became an Eagle Scout in 1974. Phil married Becky Cox on May 19, 1984 and their children are Gregory and Elizabeth. Phil worked in the insurance industry for 40 years. He was past president of both the Colorado Claims Association and the Denver Claims Association. He owned his own independent adjusting company for 13 years. His hobbies included swimming, classic cars, camping, and water color painting. Phil had an easy sense of humor and a quick wit. He was known for his devotion to his family and his readiness to help others. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014, 10:00 AM, at St. James Catholic Church, 1311 Oneida St., Denver, CO 80220.
