Phillip Louis Griffin

Phillip Louis Griffin, age 60, died on September 25, 2017. Born November 18, 1957 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Louis and Claudine Griffin as the fourth child after Mick Griffin, Marcia Hohmann and Jacki Miller and followed by his younger sister Denise Welker. He attended the University of Oklahoma and continued throughout his life to support and follow all Sooner sports. He loved to play golf, especially in the Eagle Trace Men’s League, and cheer on the Dallas Cowboys, his first love, and his adopted team, the Denver Broncos. He is survived by wife Patti Simpson, daughter Bridgette Gilmer and son-in-law Matthew Gilmer. Phil was preceded in death by father Louis Griffin, mother Claudine Griffin and brother Mick Griffin. Services will be held at 11:00am Monday, October 2, 2017 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the Celebration of Life event at Eagle Trace Golf Club from 4 to 8pm on Friday, September 29, 2017. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
