Phouthasone Chanthala

Phouthasone Chanthala was born in Savannakhet, Laos on October 3, 1971. She left us too soon at the fragile age of 50, on August 25, 2022 @11:38pm. Her education consisted of graduating from high school then continuing to complete her Associates degree from the Community College of Denver.

She is survived by her aunts: Amphone Penkhay and Somboune Bouapha. As well as her uncles: Siphay Penkhay and Nit Bouapha; that raised her. Thot came to America from Laos with both her aunts, Boun, Nunu, and Uncle Siphay.

She spent her time crocheting blankets, scarves, and hats because it brought her comfort. She enjoyed making things for people. While loving her family, she documented memories into her scrapbook. Being super easygoing, compassionate, and peaceful, she still put everyone before herself despite her condition. She always looked out for others and made sure everyone was okay. She would always help in any way she could with no hesitation.

Her life will forever be cherished by her only child who she completely adored, Mattie Chanthala. And by her cousins that she was raised alongside as siblings: Boun, Nunu, Joseph, Michael, Diana, and Gina. Her nieces and nephews included: Lillian, Kobe, JJ, Kaylah, Haleigh, Jolina,Joslin, Jadyn, Abigail, Trinity, Ariyah, Jalyssa, Sadie, Leo, Bailee, Riley, Troy and Gunner. We will always remember her contagious smile and laughter as we carry on her legacy. Fly high, my love.
