Phylis Princic Augustus

Phyllis (Princic) Augustus passed away April 10, 2014 at the age of 87. Phyllis was born in Cleveland, OH on March 6, 1927 where she attended Collinwood High School and graduated in 1945. She stayed in Cleveland until 1949 when she married Stanley Babudar and moved with him to Colorado to start a family. Phyllis and Stanley had four children Dale S. Babudar, Michael R. Babudar, Joan M. (William) Smyth and Maria E. (Richard) Douglas. After Stanley died in 1969 Phyllis took care of the family on her own. She went back to work and served in the Cherry Creek School District as Human Resources Secretary. Then in 1979 she met and married Robert Augustus (Gus) with whom she shared a home in the Heather Gardens Senior Community until Gus passed away in 2003. Phyllis' greatest joy was her grandchildren Kelly (Nick) Vogelsberg, Keith Babudar, Katherine Douglas, Kimberly Douglas and Ciana Smyth as well as her great grandchildren Scarlette Babudar, Tyler Vogelsberg and Lauren Vogelsberg. She enjoyed attending mass, travel, cooking for friends and family and having monthly luncheons with her women's groups. The family will accept guests on Tuesday beginning at 5:00 in the evening with the recitation of the rosary following at 7:00 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. in Aurora. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 in the afternoon also at the funeral home. Private family committal will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
