Phyllis Angela Hemberger Buckley, of Englewood, Colorado and Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on September 27. Known for her easy smile, contagious laugh, and loving spirit, Phyllis brought utter joy to her family and friends. Phyllis was born on July 10, 1934 in Adams County, Nebraska. One of six children born to Albert Nickolas Hemberger and Marie Susan Parr, Phyllis cherished her family. On November 19, Phyllis would have celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary with her devoted husband, James O. Buckley. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Jim, and three children: Susan M. Buckley of Phoenix, Arizona; Randall Buckley of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; and, Kelly A. Woody of Phoenix, Arizona. Phyllis is preceded in death by her eldest son, James P. Buckley. Phyllis is also survived by five siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. A rosary will be held Thursday, October 3 at 7 pm at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue in Aurora. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 4 at 2pm at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 13120 E. Kentucky Avenue in Aurora.
